Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin Clooney grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. She was given the Arabic name'ml-amal, which means "hope". [9] Her family left Lebanon at the age of two years old, in the Lebanese Civil War, and was settled in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. The father of her mother, Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze of the Alam al-Din dynasty village located in Baakline in the Chouf Districtearned his MBA degree from the American University of Beirut. It was his return to Lebanon in 1991 [12][13] shortly after his country's civil war. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a foreign editorialist and political reporter for the Saudi-owned al-Hayat publication. She established the public relations company International Communication Experts. This company is a component of a bigger firm that is specialized in booking famous people as well as publicity photos and events. Amal is one of the three youngest children with a half-sister (Tala) along with two other siblings of her father's previous marriage. 18. Amal has attended Dr Challoner's High School, a girls' grammar school situated in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, prior to studying at university. She then studied at St Hugh's College, Oxford which she was awarded an exhibition grant and the Shrigley Award. In the year 1921, she graduated with a BA of Arts (BA) degree with a Jurisprudence degree in 2000. Following that she was accepted into New York University School of Law in pursuit of a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M). She received the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award for excellence in entertainment law.While at NYU she was employed for a semester in the office of Sonia Sotomayor, then a judge in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and NYU Law faculty participant.
